How to Probe Video BIOS version?

hi ,

I am using HP-proliant server with VGA vendor "ATI Technologies Inc" running on Suse 9.

I need to get the Video BIOS version is there any utility or tool to reterive it.

is there any implementation anyone made earlier?

Thanks in advance

Hi -

"lspci" is often an effective tool:
Quote:
lspci -v | less
00:0b.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc: Unknown device 5157 (prog-if 00 [VGA])
Subsystem: ATI Technologies Inc: Unknown device 013b
Flags: bus master, stepping, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 12
Memory at d8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable)
I/O ports at ec00
Memory at e6000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable)
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2
