SUSE 10 corrupt video
Hi,
I used to have SUSE 10 installed ages ago when I had a 17" monitor. Since then I don't think any of my hardware has changed except I replaced my 17" monitor with an IBM P275 21" CRT monitor. I tried installing SUSE just today but I can't run my monitor past 1024x768 at 16bit colour depth, or else the screen becomes corrupt and impossible to read. I tried installing the drivers from the IBM website, but it didn't help. The only thing I can think of is linux doesn't like the video card plugged into the monitors DVI input. The monitor has a VGA and DVI input. Could this be the problem?
I run this monitor fine in windows at 1600x1200 @ 100Hz, 32bit colour. It is definitely a problem with SUSE 10.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem, I don't think it can be video related either since I haven't changed my video card. Geforce 6600GT by the way.
Thanks in advance.
