Suddenly all 4 sata ntfs drives on my Linux Mint will not automatically mount anymore.
Hi
Suddenly all 4 sata ntfs data drives on my Linux Mint will not automatically mount anymore.
And this happen also in my Linux Mint clone drive.
Previously i fiddle in the bios when trying to install Windows 10 onto a drive, and i took care (i tough) of putting every setting back to original in the bios.
P.S. i do not use dual booting, instead i swap sata drive when changing OS.
It must be caused by the bios since even my clone drive does that.

Was probably not cleanly unmounted. Run chkdsk on them then cleanly shut down Windows, and try on Linux.
Thxs for the tip.
Now i remember the same thing happen to me years ago.
Your answer put me on the right track.
I booted into Win7 and chkdsk started immediatly.
Then i logged back into Linux Mint and all was fine.
