Help Me, automatically mount ntfs partitions on USB and Firewire drives


Help please. is there a way to automatically mount ntfs partitions on external drives, both usb and firewire???

FC6 is the OS

Yep, but first you need the ntfs kernel module installed because FC6 does not support the filesystem "out-of-the-box": http://www.linux-ntfs.org/content/view/128/64/ ,sorry it looks like you have to wait a bit, but you can always build your own (scroll to the bottom of the link for how).

Mounting of external usb and firewire NTFS partitions should be automatic after the filesystem support is added.
