Strange CDRW problem

I have posted a question asking about a strange problem I met:

I burned a CDR disk with my LITEON CDRW. The CDR disk can be read from my CDRW but not from my CDROM. I thought there is a problem with either the mkisofs program or the CDRW.

No one answer the my problem correctly. Today I finally solved the problem. It is because I bought the wrong type of CDR disks to burn. It seems that my CDRW cannot burn the ``blue'' CDR (the blue colour is caused by the medium) correctly while it can burn the ``green'' CDR (the medium is of type B: low beta category) correctly.

I must say this problem has annoy me for quite some time because to back up data from Linux is essential since we are alway learning and developing software. Any damage to the system is catastrophic. However, no one in the Linux Hardware section actually make the suggestion that the may be a problem with my CDR.

As a GNU/Linux user and supporter, I have always know that I must debug my problem on my own without troubling others. I learned much from all GNU/Linux and Open Source developers as well as the Linux Documentation Project People. I thank all of you.

well i never saw your original post, but judging by the conclusion you came two, i would myself come to the conclusion by what you said that either your cdrom is pretty old, or its cheap piece of junk....and in any case i know i wouldn't of recommended either of them options if you didn't at least hint towards either option...or maybe you did, but again i didn't see the original problem....
if its a new cdrom, well i think that what your conclusion is, is totally bizarre....not saying your wrong, its just weird...
but in any case i am glad your one step further ahead rather than back
