Still wireless issues

Hi there, I am a newb at linux, and I am trying to get my wireless card to work. I am running ubuntu dapper if that helps. Under windows, it says my wireless card is "Dell WIreless WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card". I believe it is a broadcom chipset. I have run the command lspci -v | less and this is what comes out as a result of it:

0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor
to I/O Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: Dell: Unknown device 015f
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0
Memory at e0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
Capabilities: <available only to root>

0000:00:00.1 System peripheral: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: Dell: Unknown device 015f

0000:00:00.3 System peripheral: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to I/O Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: Dell: Unknown device 015f
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0

0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82852/82855 GM/GME/PM/GMV Processor to AGP Controller (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [Normal decode])
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, fast devsel, latency 32
Bus: primary=00, secondary=01, subordinate=01, sec-latency=32
I/O behind bridge: 0000c000-0000cfff
Memory behind bridge: fc000000-fdffffff

If anyone can help me to figure out how to set up my wireless card, it really would be amazing. Step by step, or a site that has it step by step would be awesome. I just don't know what drivers to download or what wireless network program to use once my card is actually working. Thanks for all the help

It looks like you may be cutting off the lspci output. You're piping it to less, which may be indicating there is more output below what you cut and paste.

Try doing this:

Code:
lspci -v > /tmp/output.txt
You'll have a file with all the lspci output you can cut and paste here.

Secondly, check the following things. If this is a laptop, see if there is a wireless enable/disable function button that is preventing the unit from being 'powered on.'

Also, look through /var/log/messages to see if a firmware file is not being found.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
