Start LVM with missing hardware?

Hello

I have 4 scsi disks grouped into 2 raid-1 arrays of 36Gb each: (md0: sda1,sdb1),(md1: sdc1,sdd1). The 2 raid arrays were combined into a LV : VolGroup01-LogVol00 to make a 72Gb drive. The whole thing collapsed I believe because of bad scsi disk in md0. I can re assmble md1 successfully. Can I start VolGroup01-LogVol00 and have it just look at md1 and ignore md0 for the time being? I would like to see if I can recover some data?

Thanks!
