Sound Problem !!!

Hi everybody !!!

I have HP Pavilion dv2700. I have installed CentOS 5.2 recently { dual boot with Vista Premium}. The problem is I can use to sound applications @ once. Like I can't use skype voice call @ the time of listening to music. I am having this problem in Ubuntu in Office too ... So pls help me

What sound system are you using? Alsa? OSS? something else?
What sound card do you have?
What driver is installed for the card?

Unfortunately that is still not the answer... I myself don't know how to tell you to check (but I would bet you're on ALSA).

what's the output of
Code:
lsmod | grep snd
