Sound Blaster 64: Unsupported?

I'm running Debian 3.0 on the kernel v. 2.2.20. So far, according to KDE's Control Center, the soundcard (Sound Blaster 64) isn't working, and isn't detected. I'm posting from a XP laptop right now, so I can't give anymore particulars.

Any ideas?

The module for the Sound Blaster PCI64 is called es1370 (Ensoniq Audio PCI)
You can also look in your hardware list to see if Linux detected the PCI card.
At the command line, type lspci or dmesg

Okay, the Ensoniq Audio PCI appears when I use the lspci command. Where do I go from here?

KDE says the sound card is not working,
but does it work in reality ? Do you get "sound" ?

I ask because I have a SB PCI64 and the sound works,
but KDE says "No information available about SoundCard".
