(SOLVED) HDMI audio not wanted

i just replaced kubuntu 19.04 with 19.10 and have been slowly building it up. as in 19.04 seems the system prefers to use thehdmi aduio over the audio built into the motherboard. like 19.04 i figured just a matter of going in making the onboard audio default and forget about it, but 3 times now the system has reverted back to the hdmi audio. what i'd like to know is there a way i can permanently disable the hdmi from being selected at all for audio? that should force the system to use the only choice it has left that being the builtin audio. thanks

i make it solve cause a member on the kubuntu forums got it sorted for me. walked me though simply disabling the the hdmi audio. rightclick your speaker icon in the systen tray, click on audio volume settings, click audio, click the advanced tab and just turn it off there.
