slackware network configuration

Hello,

I just installed slackware 13 with kernel 2.6.33.4 , everything seems to be ok so far, but the system does not load eth0. When I do lspci I get :

Ethernet controller : Broadcom corporation netlink ...........

when I do dmesg | grep eth :
eth%d : No PHy devices

Ive tried netconfig , ive tried to configure rc.inet1.conf by hand and run rc.inet1 eth0_start but nothing works.
After running netconfig the system says everything is ok , but when I run ifcofnig there is no eth0.

Can I plz get some help ? thank you very much

Broadcom and Slackware do not work and play well together.

That's pretty much the only reason I still have Ubuntu on my laptop. It's a Dell, so it has Broadcom, and it came with factory Ubuntu and the wireless works.

I did find this. I hope it helps.

I ran lspci -nvv | grep 13e4 ( according to the link ), in the brackets I got [14e4 : 1691]

Looking @ the table this is not supported so how should I proceed ?

Thank you
