Not strictly Linux - apologies - but a stab in the dark as so many varied folk drop by here.
I have a SupraExpress 56e PRO (Sup 2311). This great old serial modem was hooked up to my old dial-up machine some ten years ago. Since then it has been used for fax on and off.
My memory may be playing tricks, but I'm sure when I ran it on Windows with 'supervoice' it did caller id (UK spec) without any problems *I MAY BE MISTAKEN*.
I don't have the manual, and Diamond don't support these anymore so I've spent the day trying all the AT commands I can find that would normally enable/test caller ID but they all throw 'error'.
Either this unit never supported CID (I'm almost certain it did) or I have not got the right AT commands to fire it up. A selection of the commands tried via minicom are:
Quote:
AT#CID=1
AT#CLS=8#CID=1
AT#CID=2
AT%CCID=1
AT%CCID=2
AT+VCID=1
AT#CC1
AT*ID1
AT+VRID?

By any chance does anyone have a full AT command reference for this specific unit?
I've managed to get this much out of it as far as firmware et al are concerned:
