Help: SupraExpress 288i PnP Modem and Red Hat 7.1 Kernel 2.4.2-2

Hi there,

I really need help. I am having trouble putting my Diamond Multimedia Supra Express 288i Pnp to work with Red Hat 7.1 kernel version 2.4.2-2.

I am able to dial but then a get a NO CARRIER error message.

I have configured my modem according to the parameters I got from Windows 98 (IRQ = 10) but I am not sure about the configuration. Nevertheless kppp recognizes my modem and it makes the usual noise when dialing. Then it stops and I get the NO CARRIER message.

Could someone help me, please?

I am trying for a week now and I am despaired. The Modem works just fine with Windows 98 (ain't that horrible)?!

Thanks a lot,
