Screen flickering

Hey, I'm getting flickering on my screen everytime I move my mouse around or have an animated graphic showing. I'm not sure what my graphics card is as it is built in to the motherboard and only says 'via pc100 embedded graphics' on it. The graphics card probed by linux is a trident cyberblade generic. Does anyone know what this flickering could be caused by? And how to stop it?

PLEASE HELP ! its really irritating

Can you determine exactly what kind of card you are using? Without specifics, it's difficult to offer advice -- J.W.

I am having the same problem with my graphics and they are also intergrated on the motherboard. From what MCC says its a CyberBlade/i1.

I think I fixed the problem. I changed my resolution to 16bit from 24bit and no flickering.
