Scientific Linux 6 not picking up C-media 8738 chips

Hi, when I mean not picking up, I mean its detected on the system but not alsa/pulseaudio.

The card is found under lspci
Code:
05:02.0 Multimedia audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev 10)
05:04.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8169 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 10)
[slimg00dy@localhost ~]$
I'm using:
Code:
Scientific Linux release 6.0 (Carbon)
[slimg00dy@localhost ~]$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.32-71.29.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue May 10 17:35:18 CDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

That responded to the cmipci module. (in OSS speak). You might try that, or it's equivelant

You say that, but I don't have that module loaded either. Is there a way I can get them?

Woot!

Installed the snd-cmipci module by installing alsa-kmdl from here http://packages.atrpms.net/dist/el6/...86_64.rpm.html

For some reason this wouldn't install through yum with the ATRpm's enabled.

Code:
05:02.0 Multimedia audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev 10)
Subsystem: AuzenTech Co., Ltd. Digital X-Mystique
Flags: bus master, stepping, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 18
	I/O ports at d000 [size=256]
	Capabilities: <access denied>
Kernel driver in use: C-Media PCI
	Kernel modules: snd-cmipci
Rebooted and sound now works!
