I have a C-media 8738 that is intergrated on my motherboard, Asus a7v333. I just got a TV card and when i plug the sound out from the TV card to the line in on the sound card i get no sound. Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be set to recieve this sound. My levels are all up in aumix. I was wondering if it had somthing to do with the setting for 6 channel sound on the card. As far as i know it's set only for stereo and to use the other inputs as line in and mic, but i'm not sure how to check this.
Its compiled directly into the module, so find the default .config for Debian I guess and find out what they compiled the mod for. You can actually compile the line-in to be read-out or bass, but that would be a little odd if Debian did that by default.
Ok so i have an update. I pluged a sound source that is working in to my line and it worked. So this leads me to a new question. I have an ATI TV wonder tv card using the bttv drivers. What do i have to do to get it to out put sound.
Honestly man... start a new thread. I know dink all about tv cards, I've never had one... or really, search past threads. I'm pretty certain that little cmpci problem wasn't covered, or wasn't worth searching for at least, but the ATI problem I bet has, its about 10x more common a part.
