OK I have a CanoScan N676U, running Redhat9 using Xsane to scan. Trying to do a greyscale scan the image is overlayed with what is best compared with scan-lines. if its in colour then its fine, but I'm doing copying quite regularly and really don't want to be doing full-colour copies.
