I have a SB Live! 5.1 DE card and have upgraded to RH8. I was hoping for better sound support in 8 than in 7.2 but no such luck. I did play a .wav file but can't play a .mid; I haven't tried recording yet.

I was told before to get the ALSA drivers, and I did. The mini-howto doesn't have information on 2.4 kernels (only 2.0/2.2) so I'm already left unsure of what to do. It also says for 2.2 that no sound card should be selected. Too late for that. So how do I get rid of the drivers for the SB Live card -- and, while I'm at it, the remnants of the drivers for the CS4232 card I used before?
