Sata port multiplier on Linux

Hi,
has someone experience with the port multiplier defined here:
http://www.sata-io.org/portmultiplier.asp

I read there is support in the newer Kernel Versions, but I havent found anyone that used it, until now.
Im planing an external softraid with 4 HDs and this looks like the best solution for me, since I can use the other 3 Ports on my controller other devices.

cheer
