RH ENT3 Spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7, 15

Greetings All,

I have several IBM x226 Servers that are getting Spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7 and Spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ15.

When I do a cat /proc/interrupts I see:

CPU0
0: 245625 XT-PIC timer
1: 343 XT-PIC keyboard
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
8: 1 XT-PIC rtc
10: 5203 XT-PIC aic79xx, usb-uhci, ehci-hcd
11: 33412 XT-PIC aic79xx, usb-uhci, usb-uhci, usb-uhci, eth0, eth1
12: 107 XT-PIC PS/2 Mouse
14: 0 XT-PIC ide0
NMI: 0
ERR: 9

I don't see anything about IRQ7 or IRQ15. I've seen various posts about possible nic problems and driver issues but I really don't see any problems. I just want to know where I should look next to find out what the real problem is. I haven't had any lockup or reboot problems, but I'm just worried that they might not be far away.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Check your /var/log/messages file(s) for the IRQ errors.

I see a possible problems with your eth0 and eth1 Ethernet devices sharing the same IRQ (11) with each other and other devices, if possible try using acpi instead of apm you may need to install acpid rpm package.
