Unhappy Spurious 8259A Interupt IRQ7 suse 9.1

I installed suse 9.1 onto my laptop. It ran perfectly and then I updated everything through YaST and I got this error message: Spurious 8259A Interupt IRQ7. Now I was told that it was a network card. I also looked around and saw that it was a kernel issue with apic. I turned off apic in the kernel and it still does not work. I also tried the noapic.. apic=no.. append "noapic" and nothing works.. what do i do? I have been thinking of reinstalling gentoo since I did not having any problems at all with it.

Gateway 450sx4 laptop if anyone wanted to know the model number of the laptop.
