I've had the same issue (switching between computers causes it for me), but it doesn't happen consistently.
Previously, I had Mandrake installed when I had a Lynksys kvm, and I had no issues (until the kvm stopped working, which is why i got the belkin). I'm planning on testing out various configs this weekend (will buy new linksys kvm, and try several distros), will let you know what i find out.
