Belkin KVM "kills" the mouse when switching to Linux

I've got 2 computers, 1 PS/2 mouse, 1 keyboard and 1 CRT screen... 1 Pc have Windows XP, the other one works with Caixa Mágica 10 linux (a portuguese distro)...I use a "Belkin KVM 2 Port" switch to connect all the periphericals to the computers... Everything works fine until I switch to Windows, and then switch back to the PC with Linux... The mouse just stop responding.. It goes like crazy from one place to another
The Windows system does not have that problem!!!

Does this kind of harware somehow not supported by Linux ?
( NOTE: I tried the SuSE 9 version before Caixa Magica and had the same problem - also changed Linux to Windows 98 and had no problems whatesoever!!! )

Any comment would be appreciated
thank you!

I had the exact same problem, with (most likely) the exact same KVM (Belkin 2 port). I could always switch from one OS to the other, but as soon as I attempted to return to the first OS, things would freeze. What I ended up doing was getting a different KVM (a Trendware TK-401R, 4 ports). Problem solved.

I realize that this comment will do nothing in terms of trying correct the underlying issue, but you're not the only one who has experienced this. Perhaps an LQ or Google search may turn up some additional info - as for me, it's no longer an issue due to the new equipment. Good luck with it -- J.W.
