Red Hat 8.0 and Dual Processors

Hi,

I have a dual processor machine with Red Hat 8.0 installed.

How can I tell if Linux recognises both processors?

Just run "top". Both should be listed. I find one long/large process will switch between the two processors.

and make sure that you have the smp kernel installed. to verify:

uname -a

If I rn uname - how can I tell if the SMP kernal is installed??

cat /proc/cpuinfo
