resize ntfs for linux

I have an ntfs partition on my hd, I only have 8 mb at the left at the end. Is there a free dos utility that I can download that will resize my hd and allow me to install linux?

You can use these steps:

1. Defragment the Windows partition from within Windows.
2. If the Linux installer doesn't resize NTFS partitions, you can boot a "Live" version of Linux, such as SystemRescueCD or the larger Knoppix, if you wish, and use QtParted to resize the NTFS partition.
3. Install the Linux distro of your choice.
