Questions concerning the chip-set's for a new S754 motherboard

Hi Guys,

I'm kinda new here, I'm looking for a new motherboard for my A64 3400+, and was wondering about what chip-set to get; APG vrs PCIe isn't an issue either; as it`s what chip-set the board is based on. However, I'd like to get some breathing room in this board. And would like opinions on the following chip-sets:

VIA K8T890
NForce4 4x

Specifically I'd like feedback as to how difficult and annoying these chip-sets are to get working; As is I'm not in need of extreme performance, I'd like to avoid as many hassles as possible. However I'd also like the best bang for my buck.

Thanks,
Seth
