pyramid (pebble) via-rhine module problem
I've installed Pyramid (it's basically pebble I believe) on a pcchips M789CG motherboard. The only issue is that it doesn't seem to recognize the onboard LAN (rhine/rhineII (VT8235)). I have installed a number of other distros (DSL/KNOPPIX, Ubuntu, Slackware) on this system and none have had any problems. The other distros all detect and load the via-rhine module for the onboard LAN. I don't think the Pyramid install is because I cannot find any files named like that and I'm getting the following on bootup and any time I try to manually start eth0:
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
SIOCSIFBRDADDR: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
Failed to bring up eth0.
from /etc/network/interfaces:
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
broadcast 192.168.1.255
Any other ideas?
