Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question ps2 to usb adapter

I have been unable to get this hardware device working under Linux.

Has anyone done it? Is a driver or module needed? It works fine under Winblows. It should work in Linux too.

In my experience those typically come with a mouse and usually only work properly with a mouse..

What are you connecting to it ?

Please note that this adapter only works with USB keyboards that are wired for use in a PS/2 keyboard port. If your USB keyboard did not include a cable converter, this adapter will not work with it.

This PS/2 to USB keyboard/mouse converter allows you to connect a USB keyboard or USB mouse to the PS/2 port on your computer.

Compatibility - Not compatible with all Keyboards/Mice
I think there are some specific hardware limitations with these converters.. but you shouldn't need drivers of any sort..

Odd that it works with Windows and not Linux.. If it works with one, then it should work for either OS..

Not really sure what to say

I must need a purple converter, not a green one, to match the color of the jack for the keyboard.
