[SOLVED] Ps2 mouse not working on ubuntu linux server 10.04

I just installed ubuntu server 10.04. Every thing works fine. But how do I interface my ps2 3 button mouse (middle wheel) on this linux machine?
I have tried

$ sudo rmmod psmouse
$ sudo modprobe psmouse

But know luck.

Does any one know step by step CLI information to configure Ps/2 mouse on Ubuntu Linux? Ubuntu server does not have GUI interface.

You will need to install the general purpose mouse (gpm) daemon which is used to capture events in a console.
sudo apt-get install gpm
