promise raid driver

Hi. I have a Gigabyte 7DXR+ motherboard with an onboard RAID (Promise PDC20276 chip) with the following hard drive setup:

1. Western Digital 40 gig drive (Master)
2 .Western Digital 4 gig drive (slave)

I've set the BIOS to use the controller as normal ATA because I dont want or need RAID features. I want to install Mandrake 8.1 onto the smaller 4 gig drive, however I have no idea how to install drivers or where to get them. Mandrake tells me that there were no drives found. Thanx
