Problems mounting cdrom in Secondary Slave

Hello people! I am having a big problem and wonder if someone could help me...

I have a cdrom driver on Secondary Slave, and I am not being able to mount it. I have already tryed many commands, like:

mount /mnt/cdrom
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
mount /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom
mount /dev/hdd1 /mnt/cdrom
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom

What most part of the times happen is:

root@matrix:/# mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrom
mount: block device /dev/hdd is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdd,
or too many mounted file systems

So I am trying everything and it is really not working...I have a SONY CDROM driver that is about 2 years old so I think it is not too new. Also, it works in Windows.

Please, could someone help me about what can I do for that?

Thanks so much for your attention.

Edit: OS: Slackware 10.0

What type of disk are you trying to mount?
An audio disk does not have a filesystem and can not be mounted?

Oh the problem was already solved. It was a problem with the cd that was in my cdrom. Sorry for anything, and thanks for the attention (moderators can delete/lock this thread).
