Printing issues

I have just installed an HP driver and have unsuccessfully been able to print. From the command line I have run lpstat -p -d and have been confronted with the following error:
No system default destination

Does this mean that there is no printer mounted? What is this saying that the proplem is?

Also, if it makes a difference here I have run gs -h to ensure that ghostscript is enabled on my machine, and it is.

I would like to get my printer (Deskjet 950c which is connected via USB) recognized by CUPS within my Mandry 9.0 installation.

Can anybody help me with this one?

When you say "installed", did you go through drakconf (mcc), printerdrake or cups directly? I would suggest going through the steps from printerdrake (drakconf calls printerdrake) and try that. I believe that is the same printer that I set up for a friend of mine (mandrake 8.2). You may also want to run usbview to check and see the path to the device.

Cheers,
Pete
