Pentium II

How much RAM can a Pentium 2 handle? I have 2 256mb, 3 128mb and 1 64mb. What can I give it?

That CPU is 32bit, it can allocate 4G max. However, check your motherboard's manual to see how much can it handle.

I don't have a manual. So I can put 640mb of RAM in it then?

It is difficult to provide assistance because it depends on the motherboard. The number of slots and the largest size memory stick the board can handle will determine the total amount. I would guess 384MB. i.e. 3*128MB. Some googling might provide some better answers. It is also important to know the required memory speed too.

Impossible to say without some information on the motherboard make/model. Try it and see.

usually there is a model number on the motherboard's PCB somewhere, near the edge or along a PCI slot somewhere. With that info your answer should be a relatively simple googling away. edit: probably even a full manual in PDF can be found, who knows..
