I'm looking to get a new motherboard/cpu/ram, and I was looking to get some opinions. I was thinking of going with this CPU, and was looking at a couple different motherboards.
The first link seems like the motherboard I would most likely get out of those three, but I was hoping to get your opinions on them, including the other two. I'm looking to record music with my computer. I will set up a dual boot (haven't successfully recorded anything with linux yet) So software isn't much of an issue for me.
edit: Also, would slack 10 be compatible with this?
As I'm mainly an intel type of person, just seem to be more stable and efficient, the cpu I would think is still a good choice for what your intentions are going to be for using it.
Though I've never heard of Jetway motherboards, couldn't tell you much about that. Though personally I've never owned an Epox motherboard, I've had friends that had really bad luck with them and Athlons (AMD's). Personally I like Tyan boards but my second choice is always Asus motherboards.

Your not anywhere near the line. He's asking for advice on motherboards to work with Linux.. by all means, if it saves them a few bucks, tell'em about it.
PS. I've actually ordered plenty of items from mwave myself, pretty good place to buy things from and really good customer service.
Your right about mWave...ordered a GPS for my wife, asked that it be sent by ground -arrived in 2 days...they've got my business...
Oh yeah.. I ordered a motherboard/cpu combo once.. I had moved so I updated my address from the previous one I had on record with them.. somehow they sent to an address I had 3 years prior. I only noticed and checked when I got the notification email stating it was being shipped with tracking.. noticed the error and called them up to let them know.. they had the next one shipped out that day, overnighted, arrived next day..
Thanks for showing me mWave, this place seems really nice.
At another message board (techimo.com/forum), I wasrecommended gigabyte motherboards, but was also told that gigabyte's would be very similar to asus when it comes to quality/reliability. I saw that there were many more (40 vs 25) entries in the HCL with asus motherboard's. Would this reasoning mean I shold go with an asus?
Just got my new stuff - all I can say is WOW! The system is flying...the only thing that I had a problem with is the LAN port on the motherboard, but everything else is cruising...
