I'm VERY new to linux and am havin some trouble with my netcard. I originally tried to use my onboard card, which according to the modules listed, it had the drivers for it, and loaded, but I couldn't get it to configure, with DHCP or manually. So I put in my old card, Intel 21041 and tried again. This time it configured just fine with DHCP and I thought the problem was fixed. It kindof is, now everytime I restart, I lose my netcard configuration, and oddly enuf, like 5 hours on my clock. I config again with DHCP and it works fine during this session, which is how I'm doing this now. I look a little closer and it's still trying to use the modules for the onboard card, instead of the intel set. Any information on how to change this and get it right, so I don't hafta re-config everytime, or keep my clock constant, would be very helpful. Thanx

In your bios, look for a configuration setting for Plug and play. If you can, turn it off. It can help this sort of hardware problem.
