Need to know how to mount Second HD to backup files

Hello:

I am trying to mount a second 30 GB HD under Mandrake 9.1 using HardDrake

I have to copy some 9.1 GB of files for backup on the second drive

The hard drive has been mounted to /mnt/backup and each time that I copy the files, I receive a message that states that the disk is "full"

I am not sure how the disk can be full since it is a 30 GB disk and I only have to copy 9.1 GB of files

I checked to see how many files had been copied and only about 250 MB were able to be copied to /mnt/backup

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and what I can do to correct it ?

I greatly appreciate any help. Thank you,

- Joe

You didn't mention the file format on your drive. Please post the output of the command mount after mounting the drive.

If it's an NTFS partition you are trying to copy to, I advise against it as that can destroy info on the drive.

I figured out what was wrong...

I was only setting mount points, not actually mounting the drive

Thanks for the input though
