Need help to detect keyboard

Need help to detect my keyboard. I am running a 7.1 Linux server. I would like to know how to make it detect my keyboard before without turning the machine off. Any help is appreciated.

This is a PS 2 keyboard. I have not checked to see if the keyboard will work in the bios because i don't want to shut the machine down. I just want to see if the machine will detec keyboard.

Thanks,

Greer

You know what they say: "Keyboard error or keyboard missing. Press F1 to continue"

I need more info... Is the keyboard usb/ps2/micro-din? Does bios see it when booting?
