Question MX5000 keyboard and LCD

SO i just got this keyboard and it works fine, other than the touch sensitive media keys, and the LCD doesnt show anything. Ive installed this:

http://home.gna.org/mx5000tools/

but there does not appear to be any documentation on it?
Whenever i run mx5000-tool, it says

ERROR **: Could not open hiddev device

aborting...
Aborted
You can manually set the path to the hiddev device, but i cant figure out how to see what the path to my keyboard is..
How do i do that?
