Smile Multiboot with Linux 7.3

Hi
I m new to linux.
I just installed WinXP-Win98 & RED HAT Linux 7.3 on my XP capable mashine. Win XP & Win 98 work fine but Linux is not running

Whenever i try to start linux it says :

VFS : can't Find EXT2 file system on DEV ide0 (3,3)
Mount : Error 22 mounting EXT2
-----------------
Total HDD space 60GB

First i installed XP in 1 partition - 18 GB
then i install Linux - 6.4 GB
Swap Partition 500 MB
& the rest of space WIN98

all the four partitions are Primary

this is all i know about My computer

Is there any way i can run Linux 7.3 in my machine ?

As many other people use my computer , i don't want to install any boot loader.

why can't i run linux ?
Any idea ?

Please help

it looks like you probably changed the order of the
partitions, or they just got changed when you were
installing something else.
boot with the rescue disk, and post the output
of fdisk -l

you probably just have the incorrect drive set in /etc/fstab

Forget REDHAT

Windows likes MANDRAKE

i just installed Mandrake Linux 9.0 & it works with windows 98 & XP both.

I m using boot-floppy to start linux & fdisk to start windows 98 & XP.

Thank you for replying whansard !!
