Smile Mounting an ext3 hard drive

I have mounted an ext3 formatted drive and have made it accesible to network users with Samba. The only problem is that when the drive auto mounts at boot network users can only read the drive but not write to it. My /ETC/FSTAB line is:

/dev/hdb1 /home ext3,defaults, 0 0

I don't think that this line is correct, could anyone shed some light on what I should enter as the FSTAB line to automount this drive as read-write to all users.
