linux supports external serial port hardware modems. Although 90% of external modems are these types, there are some ext USB which are winmodems which are generally NOT easy to setup. Not familiar with that brand. Check specs to make sure it is indeed hardware - controller type modem.
Then look for the Kppp dialer provided in your software. Usually listed under internet software. If it's not there then it probably wasn't loaded during installation, but 10 to 1 it's there on your discs.
