Question Mobo problems

Yesterday I had my computer working perfectly fine dual-booting win xp and slackware....Today, I go to turn it on and it won't even POST....what do you think could be the problem...I have a hunch the mobo is screwed up because today i spent my time switching in and out alternate parts but to no avail....

What precisely is the mobo? The last part of your post is not clear. Can you elaborate a little more. It seems very strange.
