Question mandriva cannot find ohci-compliant card

hi, i'd just like to ask help in troubleshooting. i have in my PC an OHCI1394-compliant PCI card that mandriva does not list in it's harddrake. when i also try to run testlibraw, no cards are found. but then this card (innoDV 1000-LE) is listed in the linux1394 site as compatible and windoze XP did find the card with no hassles. is there anything i could do to fix this? i really need to get this going so i could edit my class projects and home videos. any help would be much appreciated!

Maybe try the card in another slot?
