Mandrake 9.0 and Promise FastTrak TX 200
Hi all i'm new here and relatively new to linux.
I'm having a hard time finding helpful information on how to get my raid controller working under mandrake.
my current setup is
Promise Fasttrak TX 2000 with 2x Maxtor 40GB Viper's striped into a raid 0. To make matters worse they are formated as an NTFS partition.
another Maxtor 60gig Viper on the mother board is what I am using to dual boot win 2K and mandrake 9.0.
Tyan tiger MP, Dual AMD MP 1900+ with 512Mb DDR PC 2100.
think thats all the info thats relevant to my problem.
I'd like to know if it's possible to setup mandrake to detect and read from the NTFS partition using the fasttrak controller. I know that writing to NTFS is still in developement but i just want to be able to mount the array and get data off without disrupting the current setup. Promise offer linux drivers for other distros on their site but not mandrake.
Is there any way i can do this all your input is most appreciated.
Please excuse my ignorance and tell me if i have left out any details.
Cheers!
