looking for Atheros "idchange" utility to change VEN ID and SUBSYS

I am trying to locate some "idchange" utility that changes the VEN and SUBSYS IDs on Atheros cards. The purpose of this is to make them compatible with notebooks that have VEN/SUBSYS whitelists, such as my HP DV8000.
The utility is mentioned on several forums around the web but I fail to locate it.
Thanks in advance.

It can be done but desoldering and soldering needs to be done. Just need to remove the EEPROM and reprogram it. Though if you reprogram it with different codes, you will then be back where you were before you started. Software that controls the hardware uses these codes to find the card and note its address to begin controlling it.
