Logitech Attack 3 Joystick in RHEL6
I am trying to install the Logitech Attack 3 joystick in RHEL6 and I am not able to get readings from the joystick.
RHEL6.1
kernel version: 2.6.32
What i have done so far:
Installed the joystick driver for linux and modprobe joydev
My system registers that the joystick is connected at /dev/input/js0
I test the joystick with jstest and the buttons are off and the joystick are stuck at -32676
I test the joystick with fawkes to no avail also
Both jstest and fawkes recognize the joystick name and number of buttons and axes
Based on my research so far I believe I need the modules adi and ns558 but the only way I can find to obtain the modules is through rebuilding the kernel.
I am doing everything I can to avoid rebuilding the kernel. Are there any other options to get this joystick to work short of rebuilding the kernel?
