I have about a weeks experience with Linux. I have searched all over for any hint as to what happened to my printer connection. LM13 detected my Epson Workforce 520 right away and installed it with the proper driver. I did an update which included grub and lost my boot capabilities. I used Boot-rescue disk to fix it and now the printer won't work. I deleted the printer from the prnting local host, uninstalled and reinstalled ALL the apropriate drivers and tried to add a new printer. No go. Please peruse my thread from the Mint forums. I ran some tests I found there and posted the results.

I even went ahead and did a clean install and after the update the printer quit working AGAIN....
