Ok so I've made a mythtv box, and I don't want to disable dpms, on the contrary I like my CRT to not have ghost images on account of my forgetfulness to turn it off. However, when browing the menus, even though the screen is active and buttons are being mapped to keyboard buttons, if there is no keyboard or mouse activity for two or so minutes the screen will go black and into dpms mode. My question is, what line must I add to my xorg.conf in order to recognize lirc signals as keyboard/mouse activity? I currently am using irxevent daemon on top of lircd. Please please please help.

I looked around and no one used dpms on mythtv boxes, may be the reason.
