I downloaded the printer driver from www.lexmark.com and installed the driver, but how do I get Linux to recognize the driver in Red Hat 9.0.

I also have tried to install the driver from lexmark. But on their site they didn't list that it was compatible with RH9. I tried installing anyway but the installation fails when it looks for libslang.so.1. Did you get this error? I have also proceeded with the install ignoring the dependency, but alas my printer is not responding.
Do You know how to solve library dependencies? I've been looking around and cannot find libslang.so.1. Seems as if it may have been deprecated by a later package. Thought I might be able to create a symlink an get around this but it hasen't worked yet.
