keyboard/trackball combo -> no mouse buttons


hey there,
i hope u can help me @ least cause otherwise i would go mad.

heres my problem:
my linux just want gimme my 2 mosue buttons. im using a cordless USB keyboard with a build in rackball

i dont care about those multimedia buttons but my problem is that those 2 buttons on teh left just wont work. i did a grep on the /dev/mice port and pressed teh button but no reaction. if i move the mouse i get signals. the mouse works perfect und Windows (flame me ) but i never got it run under NE linux like OS.

trackball works perfekt, just buttont dont do.

NE ideas what i can try?

Could you post the contents of your /etc/X11/XF86Config file? This might help us out. Also, some more information on your hardware would be good too (the link doesn't work for me). Thanks.
